EMS Online - Getting Started

EMS Online is for prehospital personnel as an alternative for completing the cognitive objectives of the Ongoing Training and Education Program (OTEP) courses. These continuing education courses are accessible to personnel from departments or agencies who have established accounts with King County EMS. At this time we do not accept enrollments from individual users.

How to Sign Up

  1. Download and complete the blank roster form.
Please complete the form, listing all personnel who need access to the website. Email the completed roster form (as an attachment) to subscribe@emsonline.net.
Note: You must supply the required information as directed in the roster file before we can process your subscription.

Effective January 1, 2008: You must indicate which EMS agency is primary and which is secondary for EMS providers who work at more than one department. On the blank roster form you will see two columns, Primary Agency and Secondary Agency. If an EMS provider claims your agency as his or her primary agency, payment is required for the individual. However, if an EMS provider claims your agency as his or her secondary agency, there is no payment required for the individual because their primary agency will cover the cost. You must determine whether your agency is primary or secondary for each EMS provider on your roster. All payments are non-refundable.

  2. Complete the following documents (download them below) and send them by postal mail to King County EMS:
  • Subscription Form
  • Payment for the full amount calculated on the Subscription Form
  • Two signed originals of the User Agreement
  • A letter of approval from your agency's medical director (Your agency must obtain a signed letter of approval by the medical program director acknowledging your use of EMS Online.)

Mail your paperwork to:

King County EMS
Attn: EMS Online Subscriptions
401 Fifth Avenue, Suite 1200
Seattle, WA 98104-2333

Once we receive the above documents, King County EMS will enter your agency's roster into the database and notify you by email. This process takes approximately two weeks. You can then inform your personnel they have access to EMS Online.

If you have any questions please contact subscribe@emsonline.net.
