Information for King County EMS Personnel ONLY
King County EMS personnel should enroll ALL cardiac arrest patients except those meeting the exclusion criteria. Your focus
will be on exclusion criteria, not inclusion criteria. Exclusion criteria include:
Traumatic cardiac arrest
Patient less than 18 years of age
DNR orders in place
Known or suspected pregnancy
Known prisoner (in custody)
Exclude patients from Analyze Early and Analyze Late if:
EMS witnesses the arrest (shock immediately)
AED applied by a non-ROC agency (lay person, police, private AMB*)
*A non-ROC unit is an EMS or fire agency that is not participating the ROC PRIMED Trial.
