ROC 103c — ROC-ON (ROC PRIMED Refresher)
Analyze Early

There are two variations of CPR/defibrillation you will administer for the ROC PRIMED Trial:

  • Analyze Early
  • Analyze Late

When under the Analyze Early protocol, you will give CPR using an ITD, if possible, for at least 30 seconds before starting rhythm analysis. Power up the defibrillator and attach the electrode pads as quickly as possible.

Analyze Early = at least 30 seconds of CPR

+ View elaboration — Which should I do? Analyze Early or Analyze Late

The first-arriving ROC unit determines whether you will Analyze Early or Analyze Late. Your agency will explain how to do this.

Bystander CPR does not count as the initial period of CPR, you must still do Analyze Early (at least 30 seconds of CPR) or Analyze Late (three minutes of CPR) before starting rhythm analysis with a defibrillator.
